Koven Dog Training was founded in 1988 in Chicago, by professional dog trainer Steve Koven. He started out providing personal obedience lessons and group classes. This was later expanded to include daycare and boarding for clients in the city. Steve's wife, Jean Damon, joined the school as a professional dog trainer during this phase.
In 2004, we moved our school to Wisconsin and started our very successful Trained Family Companion Labrador program. Since then, we have placed over 500 family companion trained Lab pups across the USA! We also offered agility and search & rescue training for the first 10 years in WI.
In 2022, we relocated our school to Huntingdon, Tennessee. We are continuing our dedication and thoroughness to our trained Lab pups and our clients with our Family Companion Labrador program. We have two classes a year of our trained Labrador pups, one spring and one fall class.
